What is a GFCI Outlet?
GFCI stands for Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter, and it means an outlet that can prevent shock in wet locations such as kitchens, bathrooms and outdoor areas. A GFCI has two buttons; a test button and a reset button. Fisher Electric can install or replace your old outlets with GFCI outlets
Why are my lights flickering?
Many appliances draw excessive amounts of electrical current and need to have their own dedicated circuit. Fisher Electric can install dedicated circuits for you.
Can I do this work myself?
Many areas allow homeowners to do their own electrical work, provided that they obtain the proper permits and have the work inspected by the proper authorities. The safety of your family and home should always be considered. Fisher Electric suggests that you call a professional, we also provide free estimates for all electrical work.
How do I reset my breaker
Locate the electrical panel. They are usually in a utility closet or garage.
Locate the tripped breaker.
Find the breaker that is in the OFF position or not in the fully ON position.
Flip the breaker to the OFF position.
Flip the breaker to the ON position, power should be restored.
If the breaker shuts off again, you may have a short or some other problem that needs to be addressed.
